Dovaheights Physical Therapy & Wellness offers FREE support groups that provide a confidential, relaxed and open environment where people with Parkinson’s and their care partners can come to talk freely, connect, share valuable information, offer mutual support and have access to resources that will help them cope with the day-to-day realities of having Parkinson’s disease. The group will be facilitated by Uzo Ekpemu, a Physical Therapist, who is trained in LSVT-BIG® and PWR!Moves®, which are Parkinson’s specific training programs. In addition, we will have speakers provide education on Parkinson’s-related topics. The first 5-10 mins of the session will be a devotional led by a Pastor, followed by 30 mins of interactive discussion on a Parkinson’s related topic and ending with a 30-minute invigorating Parkinson’s exercise class. While a Christian perspective is used in this group, ALL are welcome

Our first meeting will be Monday, February 24, 2020 at 1:30pm-2:45pm in the Chapel Community Room and then we will meet every 3rd Monday from 1:30pm-2:45pm. To RSVP and for more information contact:Uzo by email or at (832) 280-7877.
