In this partnership with East-West Ministries, CBC is seizing a unique opportunity to send a short-term team to Cuba to participate in door-to-door evangelism using the Evangicube. Training to use this proven and effective tool will be provided, and team members will be accompanied by local translators.
Joe Wall (former pastor at CBC and current staff member of East West) used to speak about the great "window of opportunity" that opened with the fall of the Soviet Union. The doors opened wide for Christians to enter the country to evangelize, speak and teach in public schools and to even speak before government bodies. This window has since closed, but work continues there training nationals to build on what was started during that time. Even though the government of Cuba will not allow the open evangelization that occurred in the old Soviet Union, the hearts of the people have been opened by the Holy Spirit, and they are hungry for the gospel!
Gabriel Santisteban, the pastor of Iglesia Biblica de Cypress (CBC’s Hispanic congregation), is Cuban. Gabriel tells of working at a church in Cuba that grew from 80 to 800 people...in a communist country where Christianity is technically legal, but in reality is discouraged. Team Leader Curtis Dady has a friend that went on a trip last year with East-West, and he reported that 500 decisions for Christ were made in just that one week trip!
Want to hear more? Attend an informational meeting scheduled for Sunday, February 5 @ 12:30 pm. Please contact Curtis at (832) 651-2503 or
email to let him know you are coming.
