Thank you to everyone who has agreed to give our regular volunteers a break for the summer. Our elementary needs have all been met and we are excited to have so many new leaders. Unfortunately the needs in our nursery, toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten areas are not met.
Our needs:
2 volunteers and 1 coordinator at the 9:30 Hour.
13 volunteers and 1 coordinator at the 11:00 hour.

Our options:
If we do not fill these positions, we will be forced to close many of the nursery, toddler and preschool classrooms at 9:30 and 11:00. OR We will move our resources to the 11:00 hour and close all 9:30 programming.
If you are a family with children in our areas we ask that you consider serving in kids life at least 25% of the year - if every family with young children did this, all of our needs would be met year round. If you are willing to serve this summer we could really use your help, please e-mail our early childhood director Avalyn Hermond with your contact information, and plan on attending our summer training at 9:30 AM in the preschool large group area P113/118. Please consider partnering with us in ministry. |

Adoptive Family Picnic
We are "Created to Connect" and this is an informal time for families that have grown their family through adoption or are considering adopting to get together and encourage each other in the journey. Bring lunch for your family and join us at the Outreach House today at 12:30 pm. |

Beach Week Parent Meeting:
Please plan to attend the parent meeting on May 29 in the Service Station. Beach Week is July 14-19 at South Padre Island, Texas! The cost is $475. Click here to register. Deadline to register is May 29.
Scholarships Are Needed for some students attending Beach Week. You can provide partial or full scholarships by check to CBC and writing Project 181 in the memo line. Contact the Student Ministry office for questions.
VBS 2013: "Young Heroes" Registration is open (Middle School, High School and Adults volunteers) and for kids going into Kindergarten thru 5th Grade. You can also purchase t-shirts and CDs online and they will be available for pick-up on Sundays in the WLC.
GriefShare: The journey of grief is a painful process and you do not need to walk it alone. GriefShare starts Sunday, June 2 for a 13 week seminar and support group for grieving the death of a loved one. We meet Sundays, 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the Outreach House (Building H). There is a $15 registration fee which includes a workbook. Contact Nancy German.
The Ministry & Mobilization Expo - June 1: Do you feel God calling you to do something? Wanting to get involved? Not sure what to do or where to go? Come experience an opportunity to explore what God has for you and your family. Ministries that serve locally, domestically and globally are here to inform you about great opportunities to serve. The EXPO is from 2-4 pm in the WLC; The speakers are Saleim Kahleh & Greg Despres from 4:15-5 pm. For more information contact Tim Weaver. |
